Terms of Registration

The registration form is available at the bottom of this page. Please read the following registration policies before registering.

Delegation Changes

Email external@uclamun.org with the following information:

  1. Your school name

  2. Your new number of delegates (irrespective of dual-delegations)

  3. Which allocation(s) you no longer wish to have, if dropping delegates

  4. Any committee requests, if adding delegates

Drop Policy

Please work to finalize any delegation changes and notify us by February 13 in order to secure a full refund and ensure the best committee experience for all attendees. You may submit a delegation change request via the process above and CC finance@uclamun.org to be considered for a refund. Delegation fees are nonrefundable.

Changes on or before February 10: Delegate fees will be refunded in full.

Changes between February 10 and on or before March 11: Delegate fees will be refunded 50% of their paid amount.

Changes after March 11: Delegate fees will not be refunded.

Individual Delegates

In addition to welcoming schools of all sizes, LAMUN gladly welcomes individual delegates to our conference. On the registration form, please select “Individual” when registering and include your full name (instead of “School Name”). The individual delegate form is intended only for delegates participating independently from any other delegate/school. Please note, we will not honor any requests for individual delegates to be paired with other individual delegates unless they register as a group. Please note that LAMUN is a collegiate conference and all independent delegates must be registered at a college or university as a student (but not dual enrolled).

If a group of independent delegates, unaffiliated with a school, would like to attend LAMUN and participate together, they must register as a school and will be held responsible for the delegation fee if more than five people are registering under that delegation. Only one form is required per group. In the “School Name” category, please include a group name (typically a name of a university or leader) to help us identify your group.

Hotel Information

We are excited to announce LAMUN will be hosted at the Biltmore Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. More information about the hotel, including discounted rates, can be found here.

Fees

Individual delegates are welcome to register without a delegation fee. Delegate fees must be paid per delegate that is registered. The delegation fee is waived for delegations of size 5 or less.

  • Early Registration (Oct 14 - Jan 1):

    • Delegation Fee: $95

    • Delegate Fee: $90

  • Regular Registration (Jan 2 - Mar 10):

    • Delegation Fee: $95

    • Delegate Fee: $95

  • Late Registration (Mar 11 - Apr 7):

    • Delegation Fee: $95

    • Delegate Fee: $100

For the purpose of calculating fees, your ‘registration period’ is considered to be the date on which you registered, regardless of when we bill you. A 3.5% processing charge will be assessed to all card payments.

After you register, you will be invoiced accordingly within five business days. Registration fees will be based on the time you register, not based on when fees are paid or when you receive your invoice.

Allocations and Invoices

Upon registration, delegations can expect to receive a confirmation email affirming their registration within two business days. Shortly after, delegations will receive an invoice for all delegation and delegate fees. 

Committee allocations will be sent out no earlier than January 6th, 2024. Once payment has been made in full, your allocations will be sent out via email within 5 business days. If paying by check, you may receive allocations before we receive payment in the mail by sending in proof of payment, which may consist of either a picture of your check, a tracking number for your check’s shipment, or proof that a check has been sent from your school. If you would like to explore this option, please contact our Director of Finance at finance@uclamun.org. All allocations sent before payment has been received are considered tentative. Delegation Size

For delegation award purposes, a small delegation consists of 12 or fewer delegates and a large delegation consists of 13 or more delegates. The delegation fee is waived for delegations of size 5 or less. However, delegations of size 5 or less are not eligible for delegation awards.

Visa Policy

If you require a visa, we may offer a letter of sponsorship for your visa application. Delegations or individuals must have paid all registration fees and may be asked to demonstrate enrollment at their current university. All costs associated with the visa are the responsibility of the applicant. To receive the letter of sponsorship, please email external@uclamun.org. You will receive an email requesting all the necessary information for the letter of sponsorship. Once the information is received, you will receive the letter of sponsorship within 5 business days.
